Abstract

A real case study of distribution planning is considered. An original approach to analysis of multi-stage, multi commodity distribution network in the multi-period mode with adaptive update of demand, capacity, and supply information is proposed. Optimal distribution plans are calculated for optimistic and pessimistic scenarios. Subsequently, these plans are analyzed subject to different disturbances and regarding distribution network design and sourcing planning decisions. The performed sensitivity and structural analysisrevals some interesting managerial insights into building robust distribution plans and interconnecting decisions on distribution network design, planning, and sourcing.
